Use this adapter for Janome low shank machines: with the adapter, Janome 5 and 7 mm machines that take low shank, snap-on feet are compatible with the Ultra T Pro and Ultra T Pro Plus Foot Sets for Brother and Baby Lock.

Compatible Janome Low Shank Machines: To determine if your sewing machine is a low shank model, measure the distance from the needle plate to the bottom of the presser foot holder; if it is 3/4 inch or less, it is a low shank machine. The Ultra T Low Shank Adapter will need to be used to make this foot set work with these machines.

Measuring the Shank

1. Prepare the Machine: Ensure the presser foot is down and remove any presser foot or shank attached to the machine for accurate measurement.

2. Use a Ruler: Measure the distance from the needle plate (the flat surface where the fabric rests) to the bottom of the presser foot holder.

3. Interpret the Measurement:

• If the measurement is 3/4 inch (0.75 inches) or less, your machine is classified as a low shank.
• If the measurement is 1 inch (1.0 inch) or more, it is a high shank machine
